Nelson Packaging Company’s chemical blending capabilities and experience ensure your exact formulation specifications are met. Our liquid blending capacity, custom packaging services, inventory tracking system, strategic location, and rail transloading capability make Nelson Packaging a supply chain partner you can depend on to control costs, improve efficiency and get your products to their destination on time.

We offer blending and compounding services including chemical process engineering and design. Our skilled team is experienced in making bulk product from raw materials as well as the ability to finish your base product with minor additions. Our chemical capacity includes agitated mix tanks with a recirculated loop to deliver process water. Additionally, over twenty storage tanks are available for raw materials and finished products.

Water

Our water processes are designed to your project’s specific needs and include, but are not limited to: softened water, reverse osmosis water (RO Water) systems, and ozonation filtration to ensure the prevention of microorganism contamination. These processes combined with our on-site micro and analytic lab testing for quality control and ISO procedures mean you can be confident that Nelson Packaging will meet your specifications and produce the highest quality product for you. Our team will work with you to establish the protocols and validations for your specific project.

Safety

Nelson Packaging takes safety seriously. Each project undergoes a risk assessment process to ensure safe handling of the raw components. Our team of professionals is OSHA Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trained, including team members with advanced technician training. Chemicals are properly handled and stored, and storage tanks are diked and contained to reduce and control spills and potential environmental contamination. You can be assured that your materials will be handled safely at Nelson Packaging.

Transloading

A key feature of Nelson’s ability to save time, money and eliminate potential shipping problems before they occur is our indoor and outdoor high-volume rail transloading capability. With three rail spurs coming onto the Nelson Packaging Company grounds – two outdoor, one indoor – we can quickly and efficiently load your product onto rail cars, enabling you to easily reach your market anywhere in the United States.

Our rail spurs are served by CFE and have Class 1 Interchanges with CXNT, NS, BNSF, UP, CN and CP rail lines giving you access to major rail lines at substantial savings.

We can receive your raw materials via rail, make your finished product in our clean design making room, pump that final product into containers ranging in size from 5-gallon buckets up to 22,000-gallon rail cars for shipping.

Nelson Packaging is conveniently located in West Central Ohio, with highway and rail access to 60% of the U.S. population and 63% of all U.S. retail operations. Our strategic location ensures that your product reaches your designated market on time.
