Clean Room Processes

At Nelson Packaging Company, quality assurance is a top priority. Our labs continually test products and raw materials, our liquid packing lines are sanitized, the air in the general areas of our facility is MERV-8 filtered while our labs are rated at MERV-14 or higher, and our stainless-steel equipment is food grade rated – all of which reduces the chances of microbial contamination. We continually strive to delight our customers and one way we achieve this goal is by focusing on purity.

Our clean design Making Room offers two 3/16 stainless-steel jacketed mixers (2,500 gallon and 5,000 gallon), a 12,500-gallon storage tank and two sanitary designed raw material systems. Our mIcro management program includes but is not limited to: daily and weekly testing and cleaning of settle plates along with water and air testing.

Our reverse osmosis (RO) validated process water system ensures the purity of the water we use in our clean making room. Raw water is softened in our polishing unit, proceeds to the micron filtration dichlorination unit, is run through a 12-stage RO filter and ozone generator units. If necessary this treated water can then be stored in our ozonated storage vessel. This distribution loop of purification can process 60 gallons per minute.

Once made in our clean making room, your product is packaged into clean design containers – from 10-ounce bottles and clean design totes up to 55-gallon drums and rail cars. At Nelson, the purity of your finished product is always our top priority.
